Almost 17 years ago, my parents bought a new house. The day we moved in, we were unpacking boxes and we heard a knock at the door. We opened it to find the Todd family there to welcome us to the neighborhood. That is the moment I met Tyler. We became immediate friends and from that point on, she and I spent every weekend and school holiday running around our neighborhood, playing PS2, going around from house to house to sell Tyler’s Girl Scout cookies and trying to start a pet care business with her brother, Chase.
Tyler has a smile and laugh that will literally light up any room. She is smart and beautiful and has one of the biggest hearts! Tyler and I grew up side by side. We supported each other through middle school, high school, breakups and teenage drama. When she told me about this new guy she met in college at Kennesaw State University, I was so excited to meet him!
Martin Branick. Where do I even begin? First of all, he is a TOTAL trooper. He let his fiancée and her childhood best friend drag him all over Denmark to take a zillion engagement photos. He put up with me butchering the Danish language (even though I was actually trying) and he was so accommodating and hospitable during my time there! Second of all, Martin is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. He is so incredibly considerate and he treats Tyler with the respect and kindness that you would expect your best friends’ future husband to exhibit. He appreciates quality. That must be one of the reasons why he’s marrying Tyler 🙂
Although a week was not even close to enough time to see every corner of this beautiful country, that didn’t keep us from seeing a lot while I was there! Tyler and Martin live in Vejle. We visited Copenhagen, Billund, Odense and Aarhus. I’ll do a separate blog about the travel stuff soon! I’m still in total shock that they flew me all the way to Denmark to document their engagement photos! I am so honored that they trusted me with this super important task and I cannot wait to stand by Tyler’s side as she marries one of the most stand-up guys I’ve ever met. I love you both more than you know!
