I met Halle in college at Shenandoah University! Two friends and I were walking in one of the administration buildings and we spotted her from behind. We could tell by the way she walks that she was a dancer, so we flagged her down and introduced ourselves!
Halle is one of the few people I’ve met in this life that is unequivocally herself. She is never afraid to advocate for herself and she is always trying to do the right thing for herself and others. I knew that the man she ended up with would have to be just as wonderful! Let me tell you… Ben did NOT disappoint!
Ben is in the military and he serves Halle and their relationship just as loyally as he serves our country. It takes a very specific kind of person to be a military spouse and Halle is more than up to the challenge, but Halle made a point in her vows that I hadn’t ever really considered. It also takes a very special kind of person to be the spouse of somebody in the arts.
Being in the arts can be uncertain and the people who choose to dedicate their lives to the arts have to be patient and hard working. The people who choose to dedicate their lives to a person in the arts have to be equally patient and they might not always understand why artists stick it out when the payout (financial or emotional) isn’t coming in quickly enough… it’s called PASSION. Ben and Halle are both dedicated to each other and their passions. I have no doubt in my mind that their marriage is going to continue to bring out the best versions of themselves!
Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Clark!
