Social media was a true gift when it led Courtney to my Instagram! This NYC Central Park engagement session is among one of my favorite sessions of all time. I always jump at the chance to shoot in NYC, so when Courtney reached out to see if I could come up for their Upper East Side engagement session, I cleared my schedule. Courtney & Mark live a few blocks from Central Park, so we wanted to make sure that we used their neighborhood as the backdrop for their session.
The last time I had the pleasure of photographing in the city was for Reagan & Brad’s engagement session back in April.
I can’t tell you how shocked I was when the first weekend in December was still boasting these fabulous Autumn colors. It’s incredible how different times of year will yield different qualities of light. The like for this winter morning session will render more warmly because there aren’t cool green leaves on all the trees to cast cooler tones on the subjects.
When planning their outfits for this session, I wanted to keep the weather in mind. Courtney and I knew that neutral colors and sleek lines were a must.
I can’t wait for my next NYC Central Park engagement session.
