Laura & Tony’s Central Park engagement session is going down in the book of epic! L & T are getting married in Atlanta, but live in NYC. I was so excited to make the trip up to one of my favorite cities in the world to photograph their engagement session! I was delighted to learn that Central Park’s iconic cherry blossoms were in full bloom for our shoot and that the weather was going to be absolutely perfect!
We started our day at the Bethesda Terrace. My number one piece of advice if you’re planning to shoot in Central Park is to start early – and I mean EARLY. We arrived at the park around 7:30 AM and to be honest, I was actually afraid that we were going to be too late. Luckily, the photography Gods smiling down on us and we barely ran into another living soul while we were in the park.
The cherry blossoms were their own special kind of magic! They added so much incredible dimension to an already stunning location.
Meet Benji! This distinguished gentleman was supposed to be a miniature golden doodle, but Laura & Tony were shocked when he didn’t stop growing at the 20(ish) pounds they were expecting! He wasn’t a huge fan of the sound that the film camera made, but he slowly started to warm up to it.
We rounded off Laura & Tony’s Central Park Engagement Session by making the trip back out to Brooklyn! They wanted to do some photos around their stomping grounds and they actually turned out to be some of my favorites!
I am so looking forward to Laura & Tony’s wedding in Atlanta in early 2023! They’re tying the knot at Bishop Station which is a new venue in the area. We’re also thrilled that Marmaros Productions will be doing the planning for their day!
