Choosing the place to take your engagement photos can be hard – especially if you live in the greater Atlanta area. When you’re just a stones throw away from the city, rolling hills, mountains, farm land… HOW DO YOU CHOOSE?! Most of my clients come to me and ask about my favorite Atlanta engagement photoshoot locations, so I thought I’d blog about it so that others can use this information too!

My Favorite Atlanta Engagement Photoshoot Locations

Piedmont Park

Any ATLien will recognize the iconic skyline of Piedmont Park. Home to many events throughout the year like Music Midtown, the weekly farmers market and casual Saturday picnics, a lot of my couples have sweet memories here. Piedmont Park offers a little bit of city with a lot of gorgeous greenery. It’s a great option for couples who are on the fence about what kind of ‘vibe’ they want their photos to have. Winn Park

Hidden just moments from Atlanta’s iconic Piedmont Park is this protected gem of a pocket park. It is sheltered by hundreds of trees, which makes the light perfect pretty much all day long. It reminds me of The Secret Garden and instantly makes me feel protected and at home. I like Winn Park because this Atlanta Engagement Photoshoot Location is always well maintained and , in the early spring, is home to some of the most beautiful Japanese Magnolia trees. Berry College

This is a place that holds a very special place in my heart. Berry College (in Rome, GA) is where my mom has been a professor of music for almost 30 years. With buildings that mimic European gothic architecture, it’s a dreamy location for engagement photos. Berry’s campus is the largest college campus IN. THE. WORLD! It has it’s own zip code! Make sure to have your photographer scout out the location first so that you don’t get lost! You can see my most recent engagement session at Berry College here.

Cator Woolford Garden

Cator Woolford Garden is a place that I didn’t really discover until about 2 years ago. When I was looking at it online, I was expecting this massive amount of land that would take a while to traverse when walking from location to location. Boy was I wrong! This place is not huge, but it makes a huge impact in photos. Compact and easy to walk, you can hit all the attractions and take more than enough photos in an hour or less. Make sure that either you or your photographer reserves a time to take photos here. There is also a $50 fee. You can see my most recent engagement session at Cator Woolford Garden here.
